Course Description
Fundamentals of basic microeconomics concepts and theories
The first part of this course focuses on demand and supply (shift, elasticity, efficiency, government intervention)
The second part of this course focuses on market structure (perfect competition, monopolistic competition, oligopoly and monopoly) and economics of information (lemon market, principal-agent problem, screening and signaling)
Students who have studied Economics in their senior secondary schools may have a comparative advantage in the first part of this course. However, students without economics background can still catch up with the concepts easily with the help of course materials and textbooks.
